How long does it take birth control pills to have it's full effect after taking antibotics for 3 days?

I started the birth control pills the day after I started the antibotics

I'd use an alternate form of birth control until your next period.

That all depends on what day of the month your on with your birth control pills... generally they advise to use another method until your next period.

I think it is supposed to be 2 weeks before and after. If an egg has slipped through in those three days, you don't want to have sperm lingering from before you started the antibiotics (they can stay around for a couple of days) and of course not after.

The last time I was prescribed antibiotics, the pharmacist told me to use a back-up method for an entire month.

He was probably just covering himself, but that's what I've been told.
