i work in a weld shop, an there is no smoking now what is the point to have that law in them cases, like its going to help,welding smoke is far worse. Whats next no welding cause the smoke is bad 4 u, if this is not a communist goverment then why do they act like one, an im a no smoker

This is why laws have to be made in a free country. Smoking in a welding shop??? Welding must have a 'fire stand by' somewhere...wonder why? probably because it can cause a fire in itself. Smoke, now we are talking smokin!!
Put out the cigarettes it has not one positive attribute.
Wait excuse me there is ONE $$$. To the cigarette companies. $$$ to medical fields for cancer and other health problems known to be caused by cigarettes and their smoke. The smoking is what could cause the welding to be stopped.

sooo you want them to change the law to no smoking EXCEPT in welding shops?.... no smoking at work or in public place isnt a bad law there are other people that it is affecting.. children shouldnt have to breathe it and making a exception just for welding establishments would be a little silly... ... and i AM a SMOKER

I worked for a welding rod manufacturer for years and the boxes had 8 or 9 warning label's.

If there is a ban in your state against smoking in the workplace, then that is why smoking is banned.
It was voted for by the people in your state, and they decided by a majority that smoking was bad.

China bans now has said one dog or pet pig per household.
America is saying NO Smoking.
