Think about it this way - is a 12 year old responsible enough to care for a child and get a job support the child? Is a 12 year old mature enough to understand what having sex with someone really means emotionally? Should a 12 year old have to run the risk of getting infected with an STD or VD - some of them potentially lethal? Should a 12 year old even have to worry about these things???
It is normal to be curious at 12, but engaging in sexual activities at such a young age is dangerous and irresponsible. A 12 year old cannot possibly be aware of all of the ramifications of having a sexual relationship and no offense, but a 12 year old does not have the maturity to make these decisions.
It is really hard in this day and age when sex is advertised everywhere. I really feel sorry for kids these days because they are exposed to it so much earlier and without guidance to help them understand what they are seeing. This is going to cause major problems for them years later - and it's not their fault if no one was there to guide them or help them.

Yes!!! Wait a few years, it will be much more worth it when you have enjoyed life & grown up a little more. Enjoy the other things in life, you are still young. Becoming sexually active at 12 might be a little too confusing, its a very emotional thing to handle, especially the first time.

Yes, yes it is! A lot of people haven't even hit puberty at that point, and nobody is sexually or emotionally mature at that point!
I mean you can think "I would like to get married and have kids someday." at 12, but not "Ooh, that's one sexy dude! I want to..."
If you're the 12 year old, then you need to talk to your parents or at the very least a school counselor because that is WAY too young to be active. You need to grow up and get to know yourself before you start thinking of sleeping around. Sex is not love, and anyway 12 year olds don't know what love is. I daresay not even many 30 year olds know that.
If you're the parent or other concerned adult, then you need to sit that kid down and explain to them that that's just daft to be active in the least at that age.

Yes, it is to young.Sex is something that should only be shared by individuals that love and respect each other.At twelve years old there are many other things that should be on your mind,when you are an adult you will have the right frame of mind to better make these kind of choices,Be a kid as long as you can!It is the best time in your life and allows you the most freedom!

You are a very precious gift from God,you are way to young to be thinking that you are ready to be having sex.Do not let anyone rob you from this gift ever.I believe from my own experience,that if you wait,for the person God sends you will be so blessed.Once you give this gift away its gone,and believe me when its not with your life long mate it tears at your heart and soul.God told us to wait,you can get soul tied to people because sex is a wonderful thing when its done in the purity of love and long term commitment,Otherwise you are so torn honey,please trust God and his word.And me too Ive had some experience.You are a wonderful gift,don't let anyone take it before its time.God bless you sweetheart.

Not too young to think of it, but far too young to do it.
I did some messing about with boys at school, but stayed a virgin until I was 17. Just remember to respect yourself, and think of the future, and don't get into anything too young - you've got your whole life to do that.

Dude, think about it all you want. You’re not going to turn those thoughts off anyway. But get yourself a skateboard and learn some new tricks. Because sex will inevitably happen down the line but skating is best while young.

Yes because Im telling you this from personal experience. I started when I was 12 and right from that moment on my life became way to dramatic and complicated. You should wait till you feel ready to go through with it. Evidently you arent right now because you are asking people. When you feel you are ready you will know.

I'm not going to say too young to "think" about it; it's not unnatural or anything. But it is a really really bad idea that early. You need some time to learn more about yourself, and others, so that you can make more mature and informed decisions.
