You can be any age. You just can't have a debit or credit card until you are 18.

for a checking account i think you have to be 17 or 18 depending on the bank but a savings account is any age. i had one at 9. not much money in it though.

it depends on the bank. My bank and also my credit union offers bank accounts for youth as young as newborn as long as a parent is on it. There are some that allow teens to open accounts. Each bank offer diff. serv.

All you need is an address and a social security number. Most banks don't care about your age. But you could just make a call to your local bank, and ask!

Not sure about a checking account but my 11 month old son and 3 yr old daughter have savings accounts.
