People had life in Iraq before the invasion - they had jobs, food, they even could walk at night without fear of being robbed, they were not suffering. Everybody was happy there except those of course who wanted to throw the "dictator" down - they were suffering that is right, to be more correct ,the ordinary people behind whom they stood. They were fighting for their so -called "freedoms" and new they would have to pay for that. They new what they were dieing for - big money and power!!! They were not better or worse than the dictator, they were just the "others" who wanted the power.

The one thing I don't understand is why our government would want to remove a Sunni dominated government that kept the Shiites of Iran in check. Now there will be a Shiite dominated government in Iraq that will be more cooperative with the Shiites of Iran and if you look at a world map you will see that a Sunni dominated Iraq acted as a buffer zone between Iran and Saudi Arabia which is the only Arab country friendly to the US. When the Shiites take control of Iraq, they will set their eyes on Saudi Arabia. You can see from the map that Iraq has a very long border with Saudi Arabia. That is the one aspect that to me makes the least sense...

Saddam broke the conditions of the Armistice from the First Gulf War. The money from the "Food for Oil" program was then used to bribe leading members of France, Germany, Russia and the UN.
If you feel that Dictators should be allowed to do this, I suggest you read about History.

Is this war right probably not but the thing that we all have to remember is that we have men and women serving our country in this war men and women who have payed the ultimate sacrifice their lives. We have just got to remember that through it all they are still our men and women in uniform and our support should be with them.
Everyone's thoughts on this war are meaningless it does not matter how much we want or do not want this war because we can not make the choice the president and his house(well old house) made those choices for us. As hurtful as it is that so many have lost their lives they are doing their jobs just like you and I are told to do every day. Just remember that even though we hate this war lets stand up and support our men and women in uniform so that they know they have a country to come back to of supporters.

Baby Bush had to seek revenge for Daddy Bush's life being threatened. Sad, thousands of men and women lost their lives for such a stupid reason.
I never thought or think Bush will give Iraq back to the people. He wants the oil...it is his family business.
Lets see we have been told WMD and that didn't pan out. We have been told that it was done to free the Iraqi people and they don't even want us there. They seemed to be pretty content with their country before we came. We have been told so many lies I don't think even Bush can keep his lies straight anymore. Now he and his cronies are denying there is a civil was going on.
