How can I clear my computer of the files i have searched for ON my computer?

Question

I searched my computer to look for files, and the search history identifies my search words. How can I delete these? I am not computer savvy.

I know how to clear my internet explorer history, i am talking about the history when i click on "start" and then "search."

Go to http://www.techruler.com/patches.html# and download a free program called isystem wiper. It's really clean and simple and will clear search history and stuff like that.

If you are trying to clear the search bar of history words, such as the google toolbar, right click in the toolbar and a list of searched words will appear. Move your mouse to any word, should highlight blue, press the delete button and it will disappear from the drop down list. You have to do this to each one, but it doesn't take that long.

Go to Internet Explorer...click on history (the clock...upper right)this will bring up the history on the left. Expand to view or Delete to get rid of it

if you are using internet explorer just look on top of the screen at the menu bar. click on tools - then internet options - then clear history. you will be asked are you sure you want to clear history? just click yes. then its all gone.
that is - if you are talking about internet searches.
