If his brother-in-law said he had them, then I'm
sure he did have them and probably moved them
into Syria while we waited 9 months to get any
Inspectors into Iraq. At any rate, the whole world
is better off without this tyrant and dictator. He
chopped up children and women and threw them
into huge deep pits (sometimes alive) and covered
them with dirt. This was proved as the US uncovered
the graves with dozens of Iraqi people's bones in
one large pit (I even saw it on tv)......a horrible person.

No. Everyone knows he used chemical weapons on Kurds and Iranians and was close to getting nuclear weapons before the first Gulf War (1990-91). No big surprise that he still had paper plans, either. Now any country that bothered to check the US government website before they were taken off has those plans, too. That doesn't mean everyone will ever agree this war was justifiable because of WMD. Even supposing there were WMD moved to Syria, they were not eliminated by this war.

first off... do you understand the WMD issue... do you know the history of the situation and why Bush said we went to war?
it wasn't just about WMD... it was quite a bit more complicated...
but to answer your question, he clearly had WMDs at some points when he actually used them on the Kurds and iran...
Bush said he was making them post-gulf war and we had to invade to stop him... there has been no evidence to support that accusation so far.... so it would seem we invaded under false pretenses...
EDIT: I don't really trust generals or relatives of Saddam... generally... I would like to see some evidence, if he worked on them, he should easily be able to point us in the right direction and get this whole mess figured out...
but since that has not happened over the past 4 or so years, I seriously wonder about his statements...

No, I believe Saddam DID have WMDs when the international intelligence reports claimed he had them. I find it hard to believe that all of those intelligence operatives from around the world could all have been wrong or lied. Unfortunately, we warned Saddam that we were coming in ample time for him to get them to Syria.

I believe he did have WMDs, even if only poison gas.
He had ambitions of making more and better WMDs, including nukes.
Where he moved them to, we may never know for sure, but he used them against his own people; that's proof enough for me.
When he was thrown out of Kuwait, he signed an agreement to allow unfettered access to inspectors.
He never did allow UNFETTERED access, and eventually stopped giving access at all.
Whine all you want because we didn't find huge stockpiles, but there were some there at spme point.

Yes ...............
and I believe in Santa Clause and the tooth fairy and that world peace is obtainable by sitting back and being nice to everyone.
WMD were found in Iraq but the amounts weren't large enough or new enough or the right kind to please the media so the troops concerns were pushed aside or buried.
Does it matter how old the nerve gas is that kills you - IF it wasn't to be there in the first place?

The UN has repeatedly check and found nothing other than the biological weapons that the US supported him with in the Iraq-Iran war, the fact that Saddam wanted WMD (a thought crime) was enough for US to justify their invasio, this is the kind of politics George ORwell writes about in 1984

No. I think he either had them, or was working hard to develop them or buy them. And there was a long period before the invasion where there would have been time to move them over the border into another country where we couldn't find them.
