There is a song on a TV commercial for a really violent video game, but I think it's originally from a movie. (maybe American Beauty?) part of the lyrics are "I think its kinda funny, I think it's kinda kind, the dreams I have of dying are the best I ever had. Anyway it'sthe saddest most haunting song I've ever heard. Does anyone know the name/artist of this song? Thanks.

The Tears For Fears version is crappy. You want Gary Jules, trust me.
Although, Donnie Darko is indeed the movie it's from.

Tears for Fears did it first, Gary Jules did a cover version. Not sure which version you are talking about though. The remake is a lot slower and more moody.
