Increase your fluid/wate/juice/milk intake. Eat well, sleep/rest as much you can. Nurse your babby every 1.5-2 hrs. Don't miss the night time feedings, they are very important to increase your milk supply. Let your baby be on your breast even aftershe is done, for comfort nursing, that helps to build the milk supply. Finally try taking fenugreek capsules 3 times a day after your meals. You can find them at health stores or even your pharmacy. Do all these steps and you will be amazed to see your supply increase after 24 hrs. Dont forget to drink your water to maintain the supply.

How do you know she's only getting an ounce when she nurses? Many times moms think they have a supply problem when they don't really.
The amount you can pump says absolutely nothing about the amount she can get if she is latched on correctly. A nursing baby is far more effective at extracting milk than a breastpump.
Does she act satisfied after nursing? Does she have plenty of wet and dirty diapers?
Did you drink plenty of fluids while you were sick?
Make sure you are getting plenty of fluids and nursing frequently and all should be fine.
Someone mentioned fenugreek, which is a very effective supplement. HOWEVER - DO NOT take fenugreek before you read the link below. There are a few people who should not take fenugreek.

U have t drink plenty of fluid and let the baby nurse even if she just wants something to suck on the sucking help produce more milk. Next time you get sick pump the milk. your body only makes what it uses if u don't use it, it will dry up. After your baby finishes nurses pump it also. good luck.. Oh i know this from experience i nursed 2 children.

It was the best thing to keep feeding her.
How do you know how much she is getting? Pumping is not a good idea of how much milk we have, as bubs are far more efficient in removing milk from the breast than we are.
If i was you i would keep offering her the breast as her sucking will natural increase your milk supply (if that is the problem) and call your local breast feeding counsellor.

No, scorching showers could now not dry up your milk. Perhaps you had been pumping on a time table? The factor with breast milk is that it raises or decreases with the needs of the little one. How unhappy that there used to be no midwife or different assistant to support your little one to latch on. The first-class factor could be to speak to a breastfeeding advisor, or probably anybody out of your nearby La Leche League and ask for support, considering all infants (until they've a major disorder of their mouths) will latch on if they are helped by means of anybody who is aware of what they are doing.

It will come back, you probably got dehydrated with the flu. Fluff up with extra fluids, nurse as often as the baby wants, pumping after she nurses will create more 'demand' and increase your supply too. Call La Leche League if you have more questions.

This happened to me with both my children, and I was unable to breast feed past 3 weeks ( no illness) . I tried everything and nothing worked so we went to formula. However, my friend recently had a baby and she was told to drink red raspberry tea (she purchased it from a health store) it is suppose to help with milk production.
Good Luck!

keep having her nurse, pump if you have to, that is the best way to get your supply back up, the more demand there is for milk, the more your body will make
