I have played MLB 2K4,5, and 6. MLB06 and The Show. Slugfest 03. None of these games have Kevin Millar or Barry Bonds. The Show also doesn't have Royce Clayton or Kyle Snyder.

(In my games I like to keep my rosters up to date. Clayton for Nats, Snyder for Sox. That's why I noticed they weren't there).

Those players are not members of the Players Association, and thus the game makers would have had to negotiation with them separately from their agreement with the MLBPA. The games usually have a fake player with a different name who has the same stats as Bonds (or whichever player). Barry Bonds is called "Joe Young" in at least some of the games, and if you do a Google search you should be able to find out what the other guys are called.

For you information Royce Clayton was on the Reds last year &
is currently a Free Agent. Kyle Snyder is in AAA with the Red Sox
The players not on there may have refused to sign a contract to
be on it or maybe the company just over looked them. You won't
find but 1 or 2 Mike Marshall (the pitcher) Baseball Cards because he just didn't want to be on them.

Barry Bonds is not a member of the MLBPA, Kevin Millar, along with someone you didn't mention...Cory Lidle (R.I.P), were replacement players, and Kyle Snyder, if you have MVP Baseball 2005, he is in the AAA rosters.

These games have agreements with the MLBPA, not individual players. So, players not in the MLBPA are not in the game. Remember, Millar was a replacement player during the mid 90s work stoppage, so he's not in the player's association.

They probably are not part of the MLBPA. Major League Baseball Players Association. Or replacement players during the strike like Corey Lidle.

While I agree with everyone's answer about the players not being in the union it still doesn't answer one question. I too am a big 2K baseball fan. In both 2K5 and 6 there's a all-star team for the 1988 Dodgers. Who was the BIGGEST stud on that team, former Tiger Kirt Gibson. He's not on the roster?! How do you explain that?

They may have contracts on where their names go, outside of team appearances, if they decided to not license their name... the game cant create the character... just like how Griffy was not in some of the competing baseball games for the 64.

Yeah i know what you mean

Their agents(Bonds' and Millar's) didnt want them in it for some reason, probably since the players didn't want themsleves in it since personal reasons

It is because all of the players you named have no affiliation with MLBPA because they crossed the picket lines. Bonds on the other hand chooses not to be part of MLBPA.
