Awww I'd love to have you but Thanksgiving for me was back in October. Sorry!!
He's your husband and his family thinks it's just a phase? Wouldn't they have clued in at the wedding? Some times families think no one is good enough no matter how happy their relative is.
It's gotta be tough but hang in there!

Sure, we'll be up the hill though at my parents but stop on by the dog can use the company.
I swear why don't you and your husband stay home and have your own Thanksgiving. You teach people how to treat you. If they talk like that in front of you TELL THEM TO STOP. Make it known they are hurting your feelings. And if your wimp of a husband lets them talk to you like that than you need a new husband! My husband would never ever allow that. Thank God. How can you be with a man who sits there and lets them hurt you! Wow. Life is way too short. You deserve better.

Plan your own Thanksgiving dinner, with the people you are thankful for. I'm sure you know at least one or two people who also have no family, or no family nearby, and would be happy to be with you on Thanksgiving. Let your husband decide for himself who he wants to spend his day with.

Sure you can come by... as long as you bring a good bottle of wine and a smile. The nerve of that family talking about you like that. Personally, I wouldn't stand for it. I'd waltz in there with my head held high and say "Happy Thanksgiving in-laws... and by the way, screw you! Now lets eat."

hi there. Your Husband should protect you from that garbage. He should leave with you when that crap starts or you can go into the den with the men and watch football. leave the rest of those misfits to gossip by themselves.
