i have heard that you can download swf files from the internet without knowing the url, as long as you are on the actual webpage. i have tried it and it works. However, the problem is that e.g. a website, when you view a website and it says select high bandwidth or low bandwidth it can only download the swf till that point, it does not get the whole swf file. This meaning you only have half a website not the whole website. Can anyone suggest how i can over come this?

swf files are flash files and are loaded in your tempory internet files folder when you visit the site. This is the whole file. It may be programmed to ask you for your bandwidth and direct you to another page - which will load another swf file - but will still be in your temp folder.

there is a add on called Video Downloader for Firefox. Just go to Firefox add ons and download it (assuming you already have Firefox). I had never had the problem you are describing with Video Downloader. Basically it lists all the videos on the page and you have to select which one you would like to download onto your computer.
