restart and start tapping the 'F8' key. You will be asked what kind of startup you want to do. select "Last known working configuration" or something like that. If it reboots to safe mode again, you got bigger problems.

Being "stuck" in safe mode generally indicates that one of the main system files (usually called DLLs) is damaged or missing, or that a piece of the computer's hardware is not operating properly. This latter condition could be caused by either a failure in the device or by a missing or improper device driver.
When your computer boots up in safe mode, pay close attention to determine why it is booting up that way. There will usually be some sort of an error message telling you what is wrong and why safe mode is being chosen.

Iv'e had the same problem and about all you can do, only microsoft operating trash has this occurrence, is use the safe mode to save all files (ie burn to a cd or put on a removable disc drive) and then wipe the drive and reinstall a working operating system on your computer.

back up all of your files while you still have acces and start fresh by reinstalling the operating system

It mean that your hardware occur problem.
It may be your motherboard or VGA card. It do not testing then confirm.
