Has it got a blue tint? If it does, and it was printed before 1935, on or abouts it could be a silver certificate.

That meant it has value in sterling silver. Sorry I do not know more than that.

Contact the mint. The website comes on T.V. all the time.

It would be interesting to find out

Now, make sure that it is the U.S. mint. Not somebody calling themselves a mint, you find that alot.

The answer that says silver certificates are redeemable for sterling silver, that is incorrect. They haven't been redeemable for silver since 1964.
