You are probably starting to have colostrum at this point, as the milk doesn't come in until 3-5 days postpartum. Colostrum is the thick, sticky first milk that is packed full of vitamins and immunities. It's like baby's first immunization.

Some mothers get colostrum early in their pregnancies, some later. Some don't see it until they have their baby. Any of the above is normal and any of these moms can successfully breastfeed their baby.

Personally, I always saw my colostrum come in at the very start of my 3rd trimester.

It's colostrum. Don't worry about it.

Colostrum (also known as beestings or first milk) is a form of milk produced by the mammary glands in late pregnancy and the few days after giving birth.

That wouldn't be milk. Milk doesn't come in until several days AFTER the baby is born. What you're leaking is called colostrum and it's perfectly normal to have it now.

Yes. Milk production starts in the end of the 2nd or beginning of the 3rd trimester, and some women can leak as soon as it starts.

yes, some people do. i did. do not try to express this milk, as it will contract your uterus. if its wetting your shirt, get some nursing pads so you don't get the dots on your shirt. it should just be a small amount, fingertips. if you start to have contractions, call your doc, or your local hospitals' ob floor.
