i think your resume is great. i would ask 2 teachers or a guidance counselor to write a reference for you also. bring those into target and ask for an application. fill out all sections in black or blue pen only. print all information so it will be easy to read. when you're finished ask if you can see a manger. you should go prepared to have an interview. wear nice clothes that are ironed and no sneakers or sandals. look professional, clean, no wild hair or piercings. smile the whole time you are there, someone could be watching you as you fill out your application. they may ask why you are interested in working there, don't answer because you need money for prom. tell them you feel you could learn many things that will help you in all future endeavors. good luck.

You need to start networking. Find out if there is an association for travel industry professionals that has a chapter in your area, and start attending meetings. Talk to everyone you know about your desire to break into the industry - you never know who might have a friend or in-law with just the contacts you need. Visit a few local agencies, not to drop off resumes (which will end up in the round file), but to ask for an appointment with the owner. During that appointment, have a list of questions prepared about how someone breaks into the industry, what sorts of qualifications/education are needed, how to acquire it, is there anyone else locally that you should speak with to learn more, etc. Do this a time or two and I'll guarantee you'll find an agency that will be willing to take a chance on an enterprising associate and provide you with some training. Good luck!

I think your objective is wrong (for any specific job application) - rather than putting a global objective like this, focus on what you want to get out of that specific firm. For example, if you are applying to MacDonalds, you could say that you want to develop your teamworking skills and learn about a large corporation.

Your punctuation is not great. When you say 2003-present (or whatever), try using the following punctuation.

2003-present. Daily housekeeping management.

(Note the full stop/period and extra spaces before the job title.) Then put an extra line break before the 'Responsibilities' heading, and an extra line break after it.

The plural of leaf is leaves, not leafs.

Extra line break before 'Additional Skills' as well. In fact I would rewrite this section as follows.

Additional Skills

Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal).
IT literate: experienced in Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Publisher, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Word.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like a nice resume, but I doubt Target will require one. They'll probably just want you to fill out a standard application. When you go in to get one, make sure you are dressed nice (no jeans, no t-shirts) incase they interview on the spot. You could also ask if a manager has time to talk to you right then or set up a time for you to come back. I think Target starts everyone at $7/ hour....that's what I've heard.

Wow I am impressed. No spelling errors, and it's quite coherent. Usually places like Target that are hiring high school kids are more concerned with how you present yourself. If you are as articulate in person as you are in writing, that will be a big plus.

Take out any weird piercings. If you are a guy do not wear pants so big a family of 5 could live in them. Shake hands. Look your interviewer straight in the eye. SMILE. Be polite.

Good luck.

It's nice, but the key is to make it stand out above the others. I suggest you print it on vanilla paper; costs a bit more, but i'm an accounyant, and that got me noticed.(also remember it's who you know not what you know.) hope this helps
