Your husband and his lawyer will say its wrong for you to be pregnant by another man but,It is wrong for a man to be abusive to his wife.Causing her to have to go in search of a better life to begin with.
I was married to an abusive husband for 20yrs.So I commend you for getting out so soon.
You need your own lawyer. Most towns have abused women's shelters that can help you with issues of divorce from an abusive spouse. They can help you find a lawyer with experience in such cases. If you are low income. They can help you find programs to help you with that also.
What better way to bring a baby into the world. With two parents that love each other.Don't let people make you believe you are wrong. The marriage was not working. No one deserves to be abused.Good Luck with your guy and your new baby.

Do you have your own lawyer? You should. I don't know if your husband's lawyer is legally able to prevent you from signing the papers. If you can't afford a lawyer try legal aid.
Your situation is not ideal but it is what it is. Who cares if people say it is wrong.
The divorce laws differ depending on where you live. That's why I suggest professional advice. Where I am l living it would not matter if the husband wanted a divorce or not-- after a year separation you could file on your own and his lawyer couldn't stop you, (they may be able to slow things a bit)
Good luck with the other man and your baby !

Summer you have so many issues going your divorcing, he was supposedly divorcing you both have kids his WIFE is in a wheel chair. Do you see anything wrong here? You may think you love this guy but chances are he is a diversion from all your problems. You have so many doors open why don't you slow down, take some control of your life and close some of the open doors. His wife is handicapped while that is not your problem, you need to have a heart and consider how you would feel if the situations were reversed. You need to back off cause he is married and the two of you are committing adultery.

His lawyer is refusing to let you sign the papers? If it was filed with the courts you have 30 days...who served who? I would just go file for divorce yourself. If you are not together, and haven't been for a year I don't think being pregnant by another man who cherish's you and love's you is wrong. Sounds like the ex is playing some control game. But, no one can make you stay married. Just take care of it yourself, divorce him. I would call your local court house and ask about legal assistance, they can guide you through the paperwork and refer you to a lawyer if you need one. Try to get this over with as soon as possible - you don't need the stress with being pregnant and all. You have a whole new family now :)

I don't understand why his lawyer wouldn't let you sign the papers. You have been separated from your husband for almost a year and your pregnant with someone else's baby. Why is he not letting you sign if he husband filed? If not you file then.

Why won't his lawyer allow you to sign the papers, your husband obviously filed, what is the problem ? What does your attorney say ? If he is abusive have you filed police reports ? Is it on record with the courts ? You shouldn't have a problem if the answer is yes to any of these questions.

Ask your own lawyer. If you have had no sex with your husband for over a year, I think that alone would be sufficient grounds for divorce.

In the eyes of the law, that is your husbands baby. You will now have to wait until the baby is born and a DNA test can be performed. It's the law in most states.

They probably want to confirm paternity...ie DNA...so that he can avoid child support. (your ex and his scum bag lawyer)...you can be as pregnant as you want to be, first of all if it is legal sep. from soon to be ex. it is a non issue, ex's lawyer does not want to sign off incase you try to accuse the ex of bein baby daddy..hang in and don't worry but jeese girl, for your own sake marry the father of your upcoming child cause it is the right thing to do. sorry, far right, don't likke the gfs taken advantage of......
just divorce his nasty butt...call a free state appt. lawyer...good luck

Get your own lawyer. Your husband's lawyer's job is to look after HIS best interests and not yours.
