That is a very common issue... Don't worry, you are not alone.. You should be able to have children in the future. What some girls do when they are a bit older than you are..Is visit the Dr. and a lot of times their Dr. will prescribe a low dose of birth control and sometimes that helps regulate their cycle. Discuss your concerns with your mom and she will help you out... But don't worry. Good luck.

Talk to your doctor. A lot of people don't have regular periods. There could be many reasons from weight to over exercising. Don't be worried. Personally, I have never had a regular period in my life and I am 33 and just fine, but I would let the doc know.

The fact that you ovulate puts you in the position to become pregnant someday.

Irregular periods are not abnormal. What is normal for you evidently IS a different cycle.

Your cycle is determined by many factors. Your weight, your level of physical activity - may atheletes have actually ceased having periods due to their physical activities.

I would suggest talking to your mom and your doc about this. At least make them aware. I do realize some teens do not have the open door communication with parents to discuss this - how about the mother of trusted friend?

You should get personal satisfaction of knowing your ok. You need to hear that from someone in your life too.

Perfectly normal for you. One thing that doctors have begun to understand is that there is no such thing as a "normal" period. Yours is yours. Although there are many people that seem to have the same regular cycle, they are all different in some way. Birth control pills can actually help to put it on a more regular schedule, but your current schedule will not hinder your ability to have children when you are an adult.

My period has always been all over the place. Only once I began taking The Pill did it become regular. My doctor told me it was normal for it to not be perfectly 'every 28 days' and if it wasn't for The Pill far more women/girls would have it far less regularly.

My was irregular like that off and on until I was about 21. I do not know if strenuous excercise and moving to new houses all the time caused it or what. But once I changed my lifestyle it was regular. A nurse practicioner told me any # of things could have caused it for me including genetics.

Hey look don't worry. I'm a fellow teen and irregular periods aren't that big a deal. It shouldn't effect ur fertility. If ur that worried go see ur doctor. U can go on you're own cuz ur 15 and you ent gotta tell ur mom if you dont want to. Jus say ur goin shopppin or sumfin, she shouldn't doubt you. Good Luck!

I am sure you are fine, everyone if different, 8 weeks just might be normal for you. then again it is kinda long wait for the next one just check with a dr. if you want more regular periods then they can put you on birth control.

My periods were never regular and I always had a hard time. The doctor put me on the pill and I got pregnant on the pill when I was almost 20....... As long as you ovulate, you can get pregnant.
