if you look at a letter and don't think of the letter, it's just curves and lines. for example, a "d" it's a circle with a straight line! Isn't it weird? Just wondering what your opinion is on it.

I think we can experience this way of looking at writing when we look at written foreign languages. When you see a letter or a character you don't recognize, it has no meaning. It's just a bunch of lines and curves.

The power of written communication exists when we give meanings to these otherwise meaningless characters.

Yes, I do a lot of graphic design and there are a lot of fonts which make the letters appear vastly different. When you use letters/words in artistic projects, they become part of the art.

That was how we were taught to print in the first grade. Sorry, I don't know any Polynesian recipes.

No, I don't look at words or letters, but I like to watch people walking by in the mall, but only look at one leg. It's really funny.

No, thats not weird, its just looking at things at their most elemental structure. It's kinda like when you repeat or read a word so much that it loses all meaning and its just a sound.

No, I just look at words and take them apart and recall how they came to be, what languages & stuff (etymology).
