My son is extremely good at ICT and the school have put him in set 5 for ICT because of his English set. They have said they will put him on the Gifted and Talented register for his ICT abilitees because they are obvisously outsanding but can not move him from set 5 because the school setting system does not allow for some one to be average at English and brilliant at ICT.

He is going to a techinical school because we thought it would help him deveop his natural gifting but I am now worried.

Should I accept that his setting for ICT or fight for him to be moved. His maths and sceince are also very good, but not outstanding.

Firstly ignore Austin L (Loser?).

The best thing is to arrange a meeting with someone in the school who can talk you through the whys and wherefores of the decision. I honestly think it's out of the school's hands and the guidelines are set by politicians (or other people who sit behind a desk all day). If, as you say, your son is great at ICT then maybe he can continue to develop that skill in the years ahead - concentrating on programming or something similar - but it is important to improve his skills in English too. Hope this helps.

countless issues. in case you like physics and maths, that is beneficial to evaluate a style of Engineering (which often is undersubscribed). English would not incredibly lend itself to any particular jobs (different than English instructor), even with the undeniable fact that it's going to furnish help to in any job, as maximum jobs want you to place in writing comments. The IT international is at the instant very aggressive, as countless human beings prefer to get into it, so i would not advise going for that except you're good. With Maths you additionally can circulate into the financial international. there is so plenty greater accessible, i'm confident human beings might have so plenty greater to function!
