On my watch, the '2' came loose and is bouncing all around the inside of my watch face. I see that there are little holes where the '2' was connected to the watch. Is there a way to remove the glass cover to get inside my watch face and just stick the '2' back in the holes? I really don't want to have to pay a jeweler to do it.

1) Remove the back.
2) VERY VERY GENTLY remove the watch mechanism--in most watches this is conviently one piece with bits attached. Watch out that you don't knock off the stem and keep track of any washers or seals around the back of the watch (usually only on waterproof/resistant watches). Also, be careful not to jar the mechanism--I would use tweezers.
3) The face will likely be attached to the front side of the mechanism. Gently turn it over and use tweezers to put the two back into place. If it won't stay, very gingerly use a toothpick to apply a small amount of superglue to attach it. Watch out for the hands--There are a lot of things that can break very easily.
4) Gently reassemble your watch. Good luck!
btw, you will find a set of very small screwdrivers very helpful.

If you remove the back, you can access the face without removing the glass.

Be careful, though, small pieces can jump out get lost.

yes and no is the answer..do you have the tools..to open the case...usually it opens from the back not from front..in most watches...you need a very sharp and very thin knife to pry open...and then click it back...after you fix..of course could luck helps...
and if one screw is loose...either replace...or...put back the old one if you find it...
ps.new watches cost around 10 dollars....
make your choice and your time and your love for your own watch....
