My ignition switch does not work ...............?

When put my key in the igition the switch doesn`t move forward or backwards I try moving the steering wheel side to side but I still can`t start my car.................stuck like chunk...!!!!!!!

You need a new tumbler in the steering colume

First,make sure you have the right key.If you do,you probably need to have a new ignition switch installed.BUT,if it`s an older vehicle,you might try spraying some wd-40 up in the switch and then try it.It may just be stuck and fixable.
