Are you kidding? Colours and clothes can't be gay, just like they can't be straight. And as a lesbian, I wear all sorts of clothes and colors, so I guess you'd best wear nothing at all if you're that paranoid.

However, the rainbow flag is widely know for symbolizing the unity among the LBGT community.
So, a rainbow may be a giveaway.

there is not one specific color that we wear. Usually the only way I can tell someone is gay from the clothes they wear is if you see a rainbow somewhere on them in the form of a patch, bracelet, key-chain, etc.

girls wear mostly white unless they are in a relationship then it depends on who is the most dominant one may wear jeans/tops which are mostly white on a night out for the most dominant person wheras on a day to day basis its jeans and t-shirt normally darkish colours but that depends if the feminine person is girly which means she will be dressed in something slinky and normlly white or some pastal colour compared to her partner who wears darker colours
