The Phoenix Suns are definately slacking. The team this year looks nothing like the championship contenders from last year's NBA Finals. They are trying to get Amare Stoudamire back into rotation which is a bit challenging because it changes the lineup a bit. If you think about it, the Mavericks are off to a bad start too. In due time, the team may get better, but they need to improve quickly.

Absolutely. I think that it's sick that they are doing so poorly. But, it's only six games into the season, they have some new players that they are trying to feel out, and Nash and Marion haven't gotten on fire yet... when they work together and get that sweet spot, they are unstoppable. It's only a few games in and Phoenix having a slow start does not mean it's the end of the world or that they can forget about the championship this year. I'm positive things will pick up. And things will go a lot better once Stoddemire stops playing like a friggin rookie!

They're always slacking on the defensive end. Like in the game against Dallas. Every Sun bit on every shot fake. The basket was always unprotected (Dallas shot 54.8 percent), as was the defensive glass (Dallas had 14 offensive rebounds). Overall, Phoenix collected only 25 rebounds (Dallas had 37).

I don't think they are slacking. They are making the mistake of trying to reinstitute Amarie into the line-up. It's throwing everyone off. They are far better when they get out and run like greyhounds. They can't do this with Amarie. As good as he is, he is not a full health. I really think they should trade him for a player or 2 that fits their style of play.

I heard an NBA analyst put it best when talking about why suns were struggling.
They are sacrificing a few victories early in the year to get reaquainted with Amare and the rest of the team, but once they get back in the groove they will be a tough team to beat when the playoffs come around.

Umm..I just think they were a little cocky from last year..well some. I just think last year they were used to doing so good and this year all of a sudden that's not working..and its suprising..because Amare is back and he's a great player..when he's in full health. Honestly, I think he's kind of throwing them off, I just think they need to practice more as a full team with Amare, and work him back into the lineup and get everyone used to it again..then you're back to winning games.

The season doesn't end until late April or May, so they have time to rebound. Darn, I keep making puns without any intention.

They and my Mav's are still celebrating last years success I think. but its early both teams will be fine once they realize wins are not automatic.
