If you are in the u.k. about the cheapest professional booth you can buy is the Dalby 'E' booth.
It's gas fired and just needs a flat level surface for installation as the filters are on the back wall of the booth.Cost was about £10000 five years ago.You'll only get cheaper ones secondhand.

You didn't hear it from me, but I have seen this done. Frame up a small booth with some 2x4s and cover it with sheet plastic. It can get the job done if built properly. Personally, I'd just recommend finding a paint shop that might let you rent their booth or shop, or just let them shoot it.

Not in the 21st century - EPA regs require downdraft booths and a whole slew of permits. $70K for a brand new install.
