If you want honesty, then i'd be devastated, wonder if i'd done something to cause this. I agree with the "let them be free to express themselves and be happy" to a certain extent. But can you say they'd be truly happy? When society as a whole will never except that kind of behaviour, possibly mocked, picked on, experience discrimination, even bullied for expressing themselves in that way.

Is he happy? If he is then support him, isn't that what we all want? To see our kids happy! You may not like it but what harm is he actually doing? Not much really except what you think other people are thinking maybe. He's doing just fine and expressing himself so be there for him and love him just the same.

Give him advice about what will suit him, tell him not to slap on too much blusher, and have some nice girly chats about shoes.

Seriously, must be a big shock. He must've tortured himself before admitting this. I hope you can show that you still love him; your condemnation might drive him to drink, or worse. Don't worry about what the neightbours will think, they have their own problems and yours will be tomorrow's fish & chip wrappings, but your son needs you - to accept, even if you can't understand. xxx

Go shopping with him!
Honestly yes!
Depending on his age, but really, let him be for a while and see what comes of it. Maybe it's a phase, maybe it's not. In any case supporting him no matter what is very important.

honestly, i wouldnt like it, perhaps thats because its not seen as the 'norm', but i would not disown him, i would never do that unless he was a nonce (child abuser). Hes only 9 months, so hopefully the world wont be so messed up when hes older :).

if hes young, like 2 - 6 or 7 around there more than likely its just a phase. but if not maybe ask him why he does this, but explain that your not mad at him u just wanna know. also let him know that you'll love him no matter who or what he wants to do or be. you need to support him with whatever he does, even if you don't like it, or don't approve. you cant tell him who to be.

How old is your son? Try and find out why he likes it and I suppose that would determine the kind of answer you give. I think you should explain that make-up and dresses are for girls and not boys.

WELL I HAVE A SON OF 23 THAT I'VE NEVER MET BUT IF I WERE TO MEET HIM AND HE WAS WEARING A DRESS AND MAKE-UP IT REALLY WOULDN'T BOTHER ME.

Be supportive. He wouldn't be able to help himself and the issue wouldn't go away by him being forbidden to indulge.

So, honestly, I would be like, O.K. And what is wrong with that? 'My kids are free to be what they want'- its thier life, not yours, so deal with it.
