I remembered and was grateful. It makes me cry when I think about the people who gave so much for us.

Freedom? All our 'freedoms' are eroded, if they ever existed at all! This remembrance day has been highjacked by politicans who don't care about anything but themselves and are sending more people to their deaths. I was told that before the first world war there were millions of domestic servents, kind of like 'upstairs downstairs', after the war there were only thousands left. Was that war orchestrated, as have all wars for economic gain?

Yea I'm greatful to all the guys who fought for our freedom in both wars. My grandfather fought in WW1 (in Palestine) and sent home many love letter to my grandmother (I still have those letters). In one of them he details spending Christmas Day 1915 out in the pouring rain near the front line - soaked to the skin - waiting for the enemy to advance - and his ration (Christmas dinner) was one tin of meat. - What a contrast to our Christmas' this year!
My Father fought in WW2 and Remberence Day is his birthday - having being born exectly 1 year after the end of the war.

As always, I'll be along at the war memorial tomorrow at 11, and so will lots of people in the town.

Lest we forget.
