No Nevada Nomad the party started at noon they got lunch at the party at 1:00 2:00 they came home & got a snack & at 3:00 they got another snack BTW at 4:00 They asked for another snack. Yes you are right it actually is their playmate asking for food and she has a weight problem. My kids just follow suit. I am not giving ANYBODY a snack at 4:00 because Dinner will be done in awhile.

Ok on a normal weekend here is how life goes: Kids get breakfast at 9:00 at 11:00 they get a snack 1:00 they get lunch 3:00 they get a snack and dinner at 5:00.

Ok now anybody that tinks they are impressed with themselves wanna tell me what a sh**ty mother I am? You know which ones you are. I was curious about the boredom thing because it was literally every hour on the hour their playmate would whisper to my daughter "Ask your mom for cookies" or candy or cake. In other words a bunch of sweetsd that don't kill the hunger anyway. I prefer crackers & cheese & carrots to feed them or a piece of fruit not the crap this little girl thinks I am rich enough to dish out.

They could be hungry. There's a lot of sugar in cake, ice cream & juice and it could affect their blood sugar. But, they could just be bored too. Offer them something healthy & see if they'll take it.

Honey, yes they could be hungry. I imagine that you fed them lunch about 11:30 or noon, and then they get stuff at the party and at 2:00 get a snack, and then say they are still hungry. I really think that it is boredom OR if they have a playmate over, the playmate sometimes encourages the kids to ask mommie for something, so the kids do.
Try giving them some crackers.

I dont think its boredom, kids are extremely active and that type of food is generally quick to digest. cake/ice cream, and juices can be absorbed and the sugar give them energy. So within that hour it it mostly gone and they are just getting more food for energy. Kids can about continually eat if they are active and that is a good thing, since their metobolism is up it will prevent them from gaining weight and in turn they will stay active. I wouldnt worry about it and keep giving them good snacks to keep them active and healthy.

No it is not boredom. Kids will often leave the dinner table only to find themselves looking in the fridge for something to eat only minutes later. There bodies at different times are in growing spurts and the body is demanding food, it is good if they get something with protein content which is slower to metabolize and therefore they will not feel hungry as often.

Maybe it was too busy at the party and they didn't get much. Funny because that happens to me when I go to parties-- I never eat much and come home famish.

I agree with you. If they still complain they're hungry, give them something healthy like carrots and celery or a piece of fruit.

If they don't have weight issues don't worry about it. However, if they're putting on weight just make them wait until dinner.
