well she should forgive you soon.tell her your very sorry but it will take time for her to accept it and to be rational about it all.give her time and say im sorry everyday.i suppose she hasnt spoken to you since she found out so dont push it.if she is still living with you thats a plus and if shes sleeping in the same bed your very lucky.im 53 and married 29 years and i dont think i could do that.was the other woman your age or younger?did she make advances toward you or was it you who did the advancing?after so many years how did you decide to cheat?

That's sad.After 60yrs. why would you want to hurt her like that?Or was you cheating on her for the past 60yrs and just got caught?Now what time you guys have left on this earth she'll have to think of that.Such a shame.Once it happens there's no way we forget.Buy her some flowers, like every other cheating husband out there.

I dont know if you can actually make up anything, but what you can do is change your ways, ask for forgiveness and try to earn her trust back. This is not something that she can forget about in an hour or so. It takes time for wounds to heal and you should allow her that. Good luck.

so how old are you 80ish?? what could possibly work on you besides your lips that would be considered cheating?? sorry if that was kinda mean, but if it's 60 years that kinda old and i don't even want to know...lol and if you meant 6 years then i think you need some time to think about what you really feel and go with what you feel, cause if your unhappy theres no reason to try to make it work, cause if your both not happy then your marriage is fake and pointless and your wasting time.. go with what you feel and do whats right for you not her.. i'm sure you love her and dont want to hurt her, but you need to do whats right for you.. good luck and i hope all works out for you...

you need to be romantic and remind her while on vaction with no family or friends around of why you married her and love her. do not let her talk to friends and family before this. I think that she is at a fragile state now and you need show her why you still care for her.
