okay guys can you please give me some advice. For my hockey pool i have a chance to get Hasek, i no this is a big risk but i'm not sure. My 2 goalies are:

Kari Lehtonen - ATL
Martin Brodeur- NJD

i need the goalie that will have the most wins, each win is 2 points, and a shut out is 3 points plus the win makes it 5 altogether. Should i stick with my goalies or move on to Hasek.

keep those two for sure forget about Hasek , you have the best goalie already in Brodeur he is the best he will get the most wins for you he was the only one with over 40 wins last year like his 10 time with over 40 wins, and Kari Lethonen is playing great for the Trashers and hes young and really good.

stay away from Hasek don't even think about it the Red Wings aren't going anywhere with Hasek he is way to injury prone and he will mostly only play around 40 games tops this season as for the two goalies you already have Lethonen will play around 60 games and Brodeur will play over 70 as he does every other year, so stick with the two you already have.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Fantasy hockey is largely about taking risks. Of course, you might be a conservative player and choose to stick to Lehtonen. I, personally, would take the risk of obtaining Hasek to replace Lehtonen. Lehtonen may have had a shart start, but look at his game now. Furthermore, Hasek's past performance as the dominator tells you right away what his potential is (assuming he stays healthy, which is the only risk you are taking here). Lehtonen, on the other hand, may or may not have a great season -- there aren't tons of seasons behind his back to look at his stats and tell exactly what his potential is. I'd go with Hasek, who's been solid over all these years. Even if he does get injured, it might be only later in the season, when it won't cost you as much, plus having Brodeur alone should be good enough to carry you through the rest of the season. Also look at the teams that Hasek will be playing this season -- a bunch of games against weak ones -- easy money. Also, Hasek is more likely to play a higher percentage of games than Lehtonen (who will keep giving starts to Hedberg after poor series of games; I am sure Hedberg will be in net now that Lehtonen has lost 2 straight). Also, Hasek is currently leading the league with 1.74 GAA which is MORE THAN ONE GOAL fewer than Lehtonen's average of 2.78 GAA. I'd go with Hasek if at all possible. Hasek+Brodeur = bulletproof.

Brodeur. Without a doubt. He wins more games a season than any goalie ever. You can look it up.

Lehtonen is off to a great start, no doubt about it. But Marty has proven he does it year in and year out. Brodeur is good enough to steal games on his own, too. Plus, he handles the puck very very well, so you might even get a few assists from him as a bonus.

I don't trust Hasek to stay healthy. He's been hurt too much over the last couple years. Keep your goalies.

Your right it is a really risky move but Hasek has back to back shutouts and he is on a good team (detroit has also won 9 straight) so I would switch lehtonen for hasek... (lehtonen only because i dont believe the thrashers will keep this up) but if you feel like keeping lehtonen over brodeur i think thats a good choice too (heck it might even be a better choice)

keep your goalies Lehtonen is on a good team they can score alot. And Brodeur is Brodeur probably the best goalie in hockey. Always thought Hasek is overated flops to much trying to make the highlight reels on sportscenter.

You've got the best goalie in the league in Brodeur and Lehtonen isn't bad either. You can't count on Hasek. One split save and there goes his groin. He doesn't even play after they travel or if they have back to back games, he's got to rest that groin.

Hasek just had back to back shut outs....but is he in it for the long haul?

Ask Ottawa, ask Buffalo....he tends to fade away with a wonky groin. If he starts to tank and has a few bad games I think he mentally unravels and plays the groin card whether it's a problem or not.

Then again, he's in Detroit and that seems a good fit for him.

Why can't you have 3 goalies? I do, and I wouldn't dump either one of yours--they're both good. Grab Hasek and keep 3.

Good luck!

For now stick with the same goaltenders. Give Hasek a bit more time before you decide.

Keep the 2 goalies you have.

Hasek will be injured as usual at some point this year.

Probably before the playoffs if he follows his usual pattern.
