They have had enough years to do it! So what is it: Great Britian, England, United Kingdom, British Isles? WTF????

All of the above, they are all different areas. It is the U.K. but all those places are in the U.K. And supposedly they like to be called Brittish and not English...which I never knew but then I was pelted with that after I asked a question calling them "English".

If I'm not mistaken, Great Britain and the British Isles (all nations from England to Scotland to Wales to both Irelands) are the same thing. The United Kingdom Includes all but Northern Ireland, and I'm least sure of where Wales fits in. England obviously is said country alone.

Great Britain comprises England, Scotland and Wales
The Uniited Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is it's full title
and the British Isles is a geographical description of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic combined.

Great Britain is England, Wales and Scotland

what about americans? there's united states of america, the united states, the states, america, the U.S., and U.S.A. and this is all the same country. england great britian, Uk and british isles are all different. so stfu.

For English people it is England, but don't ever ever ever call Welsh people English. We live in Wales and are Welsh.
