Yes, my cat, Cutesie. I got him when I was four and a half. He was my first pet (besides a few goldfish when I was a toddler. He has taught me so much and has put up with everything I do to him (not abusive stuff, just pick him up a lot when he's sleeping). I brought him to a cat show one year under the "house hold pet" category and he won two 1st place ribbons along with "best house hold cat" award. I was so proud of him. One time he ran away (he's an indoor cat). I was at a sleepover and my parents opened the garage not knowing that he had snuck inside. We went looking for him and up signs and offered a reward only for him to come back on his own. It was midnight and only my dad was up. He was about to go to bed when he heard scratching at the back door. We had no idea where he had been but the only thing that mattered to me was that he was home. During those 36 hours, my parents told me to be prepared for the worst but being that I was only 8 or 9, I never lost hope.
He had a urinary track infection one time and it was late at night and he was moaning and wasn't using the litter box. My mom said it was probably just worms and that she would take him to the vet in the morning. I pleaded with her to go that night or at least check the internet for his symptoms. Turned out, he had a urinary track infection and was rushed to the emergency clinic and immeadetly put into surgury. Who knows what would have happened if we had waiting until the morning.
He is now 9 years old and slowing down. He sleeps most of the time but stills enjoys a good brushing and an afternoon spent in the sun. Our two rabbits, Polly and Manuel, keep him on his feet, or off of them rather, every time they corner him and he leaps away to safety (yes he is terrified of them).
I cannot imagine my life without him and will be devestated when that nightmare becomes reality. In the mean time, I am trying to get as much out of our time together as we can and hope he lives out the rest of his life in pure happyness.

Both my cats. My 15 year old tabby is an angel. I swear she has wings tucked under her fur. My 19 month old maine coon is an imp that constantly makes me laugh. They are my companions and my life is richer with them in it. I learn from them too. On a scale of 1-10 attachment with 10 as the highest, I would say my attachment is 100+. I feel so bad for the people who evacuated for Katrina and left their little ones behind. I couldn't have done it. If they had to stay, so would I.

I don't have kids yet so my 2 pugs are my babies! I am crazy about them. My oldest had a sezuire about 6 months ago and I was bawling my eyes out and my husband told me to get him so we could take him in to the vet and I couldn't move. Turns out it was a one time thing and he was ok but I was insane!!! I'm not someone who has a stroller and carries them around with me or dresses them up.....well only for halloween and if it's snowing outside! LOL!!
