I am a job hopper, never finding a career or job I really liked. I have a masters in mass communications but never got a job in the field. Always taking jobs to pay the bills which include teaching, sales (hate), managing a medical office, account management, writing training scripts, ski reporting, travel sales, and debt consultant to name a few. I am not an office person. I do have an avid interest in entertainment, television, radio but I feel I am too old nor probably could afford the pay since I am the sole provider of my house. Any one have any ideas or direction?
Thanks..

Sure. It's never too late to have a career in TV or media at 52. Why don't you look in the paper? At least look in the ads and see what they have to offer. If you have the experience, you're fine. But you might have to start at a entry- or lower-level position. Some might offer training. But you might expect a lot of rejections.

So you have a masters degree, yet do not like the office dungeon. I know what you mean I am also a blue collaredd kinda of guy with a wight collare education.

Take a career assessment test you can take these on line and for free, Take several and see what they say. Be honest with the answer since that mean your are being honest with your self.
Best of luck.

Anchorman for the senior citizen's segment.

We have and older gentleman as anchorman for the 'wintertexans' here in the south of Texas.

I'm not being belittling. This is one part of television. I am studying for Graphics artist in any media career. You could probably take a couple of night classes and bring yourself up to par for Newsprint or magazine medias.
Also make use of tutorials about Adobe products, this would be a great advantage for you!

Sure there is ...remember Clara Peller? She was the Where's The Beef lady from the Wendy's ads in the early 80's... she got her first acting job (that commerical) at the age of 82. No one will ever forget her. I suggest start in a local theatre group...they usually meet on evening and weekends. If you get the acting bug or are any good...people will tell you....Remember, there's no small parts, only small actors.
