I'm not sure about the whole orange juice thing, but I know that prunes help. They make a prune baby food or you can buy prune juice.

The orange juice is too acidic for your babies tummy and can lead to irritation adn a diaper rash. I'm telling you that there are other alternatives: Try mashed banana, and a half a teaspoon of prune juice. then give baby some water or breastmilk. This should help, if not call a different doctor for a second opinion, then another for a third.

You should find yourself another doctor. When my kids were constipated what they told me was prune juice with water. They also have medication over the counter (that's what my doctor told me) to help infants with constipation but you'd have to ask the doseage from your doctor too much will give them the runs. The medicine is called "little tummys."

Now if he's in pain and is crying like crazy and won't stop it's because it's right there but too big to come out. At that point you're going to have to put some lubrication like baby oil and help him push the poop out because it might tear and the oil will help the poop slide out. I know it sounds gross but if you see the level of pain that they are in, you'll do it. You may need to spread their cheeks to to help the process. I had to do it for all three of my kids and they were so relieved after taking that poop.

Try prunes (babyfood) or a little prune juice. When my son was born, he was very constipated and the doctor told me to give a small amount of prune juice ever couple hours until he finally went. It worked wonders!

Yea. Don't give your baby orange juice. Its going to hurt there stomach. When my son is constipated I give him a apple and plum mixed baby food and this seems to do the trick.

Try mixing her rice or with prune juice or apple juice then she dosn't have to drink it and its a new flavor with the cereal. Worked wonders for my daughter I fed her apple juice for another source of fluid and then she had the runs for days after.

orange juice has too much citric acid. My son's pediatrician says to try watered down (50% water 50% juice) apple or white grape juice first, if that doesn't work try watered down prune juice.

I used apple juice and water with my boys. Orange juice is very acidic and could cause an allergic reaction or diaper rash. Apple juice is much more mild. I mixed it half and half.

DO NOT give a 6 mos old OJ! No citrus until after 12 mos! It could end up causing a bad rash.

If you are breastfeeding, nurse more often. Breastmilk is a natural laxative.

If baby is on solids, feed "P" foods - pears, peaches, and prunes.
