I no longer use birth control pills, so i don't know how to identify the day when i'm vulnerable to getting pregnant. My last period was on Oct 19. When should my partner and I practice contraceptive methods? 1 week or 2 week before my next period (providing it will be 18 of Nov?) Thanks for your answers!

go to the site called babyhopes.com click on ovulation calender. It will ask you to enter your last menstrual info and and will print u out a calender up to your next period telling u day by day how fertile u r. For example it will say a date a say fertile another day may say a little fertile and the best day will say very fertile. check it out.

10-18 days before you expect your next period. Also, you need to be sure that your next period is actually due on Nov. 18th. Get the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.

There is a really easy to use and free site that helps chart this stuff. It will email you when to expect your period and when to expect to ovulate. (then you check your body's signs to make sure)

To be honest any time you have sex you be practice safe sex.-- Even if you ovulate regularly every month there may be a month that is off and then ..... surprise! Unless of course the baby is what you are trying for.

www.mycycle.com -- That site will help with all the information you need to know whether you want to conceive or to avoid it.

Technically, 14 days AFTER the day you started your last period, you should release an egg and can get pregnant. That's assuming you are on a very regular 28 day cycle.
