I pledge allegiance,
to the flag,
of the United States of America;
and to the Republic,
for which is stands,
one nation,
under God,
indivisible,
with Liberty,
and Justice
for all.
Education systems seem to do a pretty good job at keeping nationalism within schools. I have recited the pledge for 11 years.

Meh, that's pretty much how it goes, right?
Well, I can't recite it to you vocally, but that's the best you'll probably get out of me.

Which version. The "real" one or the altered one. And besides, why should we have to say it anyway??
I mean, it was invented to make the Confederate soldiers verbalize their forsaking the Condfederacy.... Shoot, I've never even worn a little gray hat and I was born in Springfield Illinois. My family's been here since before the U.S. was the U.S.
I don't need to verbalize my devotion to a country or a piece of cloth.

Yes learned that in Nursery School.
When I was little I was baffled why the US was described as "invisable" though.
