Yes,but he was so much under the influence of Karl Rove that he thought Republicans are going to retain the Majority in both houses,This Election was a referendum on Iraq War and Rummy was running the war.

Bush is a big fat liar. He lied that Rumsfeld was doing a good job when he really felt that he wasn't, but he really did feel he was doing a great job because Rummie didn't care how many lives were lost or how the US should have been there in the first place. He just kept the Pentagon money going to make his war contracting friends rich and Bush knows that. The group is very selfish and doesn't care about American people.

Forget the past and help try to fix things. What are your ideas?!

I doubt it would, there was to much water under the bridge by then. And I think Bush knew it so he delayed it because he thought it would be like he was holding it up so no one could say he used it to save the election for the Republicans but he knew it was over and the Democrats were going to win and if they didn't it wouldn't hurt anything to let him resign later

Ayup. I think this election played out exactly as they wanted. Now the Democrats have to clean up the mess of Bush and the republicans like always.

of course , a lot of races were decided on 1 or 2 points , and the determining factor of most voters was iraq . this just shows bush could care less about polotics and just cares about the safety of the american people .
