referring to the original notations you made when you first started working on your homework paper... "rough notes" are just that. they can also be used as documention proving it is YOUR original work as it shows how you progressed to your final paper.

You don't take the time to write down each and every word that's said when you're taking the notes. Just things to jog your memory. You have to go back to the rough notes and write down more relatively soon so you don't forget what the rough notes meant in the first place.

Rough notes are notes you take that cover whatever you're supposed to be learning so that you can understand it. In other words, putting things into your own words.

Quick notes taken. Normally when listening to a lecture or casting an interview, to get down the most information you write a quick way. One way would be to write without vowels... it just varies with what a person's preference is.
