Limewire is good for music but be VERY careful most of the other stuff is riddled with all kinds of nasty stuff and never download an .exe file.

limewire is by far the best of the free file sharing sites and you dont get loads of sponser pop ups. you can download it free at downloads.com

They all search songs, vids, files,programs and they offer a great amount of answers for free versions. (although i am not sure that WinMX searches all these things, i am kinda sure it does though).
