Brown spotting...no period?

Question

I'm not on birth control & I am due for my period this weekend, but instead I am spotting. I usually have pms symptoms when my period is due (cramping, sore breasts), but I don't have any of that.
I have been spotting on and off for about 3 weeks now since my last period, which was extremely light. Could this be symptoms for a cyst or preg???

If you are due for your period and you've been spotting for three weeks I doubt you are pregnant, since you would have had to ovulate about one week after the first day of your last period and that is not very likely--- though not impossible.

If you don't get your period and you've had intercourse, try a home pregnancy test.

Otherwise, your hormones may just be a little out of wack. Once you get your period your hommones may "reset" themselves. If you continue to spot after your next period call your gynnie. You could have a polyp.

Sounds like the old blood is still sluffing off. Lots of women get this at various times and it lasts for a day, a week or several weeks. If you have other symptoms, fever,pain,odour then you need to have it checked out.
If you have an IUD it is common to have lots of spotting.
A cyst usually presents itself differently.
Could you be pregnant?

to me it sounds like a cyst.. only because i had one.. after my regular cycle i was spotting for 1 week afterwards... i would see a dr...just to get stuff cheked out..

Those sound like pregnancy symptoms. But do not worry if you have not been having sex
