no you would not use a comma. i had come to a party as a nervous, but fun girl=doesn't make sense. the but eliminates the use of a comma. or you could say, i had come to a party as a nervous, fun girl.

there is no need for a comma between an and and a but. If you are using commas in a paper you must be consistant with them.
I read the sentence wrong , the way you worded your question was rather ackward: as writen you would use a comma after the word nervous.

I'd rewrite the sentence. The nervous part is OK, but fun feels funny. "I had come to the party as a . . . fun girl."??

I had come to the party as a nervous girl, but I was ready for fun.
