It's hard to explain this but has anyone ever just finished eating and there's this feeling from either in your throat, or perhaps your chest, and you make this loud sound - but it's going inside rather than coming out?

It's not a burp or hiccup. It's as if the body is trying to correct something when it makes this loud sound as something is happening.

Would anyone have a hint of what I'm talking about? I've been out in public and seen various situations where someone would be at a table and make a noise right after they've just finished eating. Sometimes it's quiet but sometimes it's very loud.

No, not a gargling sound. I guess it's like... It's similar to making a long gasp but it's accompanied with a loud sound that goes with it?

peristalsis is the rhythmic contraction of your oesophagus moving the bite of food down. If there is air trapped, it can cause an "in-burp". maybe that is what you are hearing.

If you eat too fast your digesgion system will need to relax its self. It does this by pyushing the air out of your diaphragm and it makes a noise. It's totally normal for humans.

are you talking about like a gargling noise in your throat? i get that sometimes when i eat too fast, or if i'm not eating healthy enough. sometimes it just comes on its own if i'm too stressed out.
