I spend all day with my friend nextdoor, who I really like, and at the end of the day she goes on myspace and writes "Hey Michelle, I love you so much and youre my best friend! Just wanted you to know that :)"

[michelle is the person I hate]

I dont understand. i spend all day//everyday with her and at the end of the day she appreciates michelle more than me? It makes
me soooo jealous. Why all of a sudden this is happening? She has never said something like that to me;ever.

SO BASICALLY:
I spent my whole summer going to this girl's house from 9:00am-9:00pm, learned everything about her, and met her family. &after that, this is what I deserve. What a waste of my time.

Is it possible that you are spending too much time with her? It sounds like you go to her house but she doesn't come to your house. (Maybe I am just assuming something that isn't true.)

Anyway, why don't you back off and not spend quite so much time with her, and make other friends that you enjoy too. Friendships don't have to be competitions. You can enjoy group friendships. You could challenge yourself by meeting a brand new friend every week. That doesn't mean you need to meet a new best friend, but if you branch out, you might find that your friend nextdoor would find you more interesting too.

Also, if Michelle is a hard person to get along with, your friend might just be trying to stay on the good side of her by buttering her up. There are people who get friends by making other people miserable, so nobody wants to be on their bad side.

Plus, I have noticed that on myspace, people say all kinds of over-the-top things that don't really mean much. Don't worry about what she says on there. Just have fun with your friend and take it easy. If you react to that kind of thing, it makes you look petty and/or desperate.

Maybe she knew Michelle longer than you ... and that Michelle treats her differently and that she just knows Michelle better and has the same likings and shared a history together. I've had the same problem once. Think about that or try to make a new friend which isn't easy...

Girld like that don't deserve friends like you because she probably knows you are better then her and she doesn't want to admit that but that is only my thought

I have learned in life that you can't have too many expectations out of your friends.
