There can be a number of reasons for your skin to suddenly look like that. If you are taking steps to rehydrate (only water, please), and you still have that problem, step up your sleep. Ideally, eight hours is a minimum.

Past those two suggestions, look at changes you may have made. Are you exercising more? Eating differently? Have you changed your vitamin regiment? Partying more? Stressed? Did you change any part of your facial regiment (that might account for your skin appearing different)? Each of those things can wreak havoc with your skin; especially the delicate eye area. Also--make sure that you are in balance. If you are suddenly working out more, then make sure that you are eating/getting more vitamins to make up for what you have lost. If you're sleeping less, are you drinking more coffee to stay alert.

Unless it's a side-effect of a medication or illness, it can reverse. All of the dark circle correctors are useless (take it from someone who was in the industry for years) except for moisture. Your best bet is to increase your water intake, sleep, and vitamins, until you are able to resolve the situation. Your skin, for the most part, reflects what you put in your body, not what you put on it. Good luck!

This is so true. I work as a makuep artist in a large upscale cosmetic store. One of my co-workers is a skin care specialist and she tested my skin's hydration levels. I'm only 25 and my % was like 25% hydrated. It's been a week and I've been following her advice, drinking plenty of h2o, moisturizing, as well as using a serum on top of the moisturizer. Everyone has been complementing me lately on how great my skin looks and saying it must be a new makeup trick or something. I'm still using my usual makeup, I'm just more hydrated. I had my levels checked again yesterday and I'm now at 39%. I'm hoping to reach the 50%-60% range over the next couple of weeks. Good Luck to you!

yes it can.if you have gone out to a bar and drank a few mixed drinks that alcohol will make you dehydrated.beer wont unless you get sick.i would get some gatorade and drink a quart in 12 hours. i drink grape gatorade when i get sick from thflu or a cold.if you work long hours or are in school and study for long sessions you can get dehydrated just by forgetting to eat or drink.

Yes, it will. If you are dehydrated enough that it shows, please fix that immediately. That is unhealthy for you. Be sure you're getting enough rest. Also, until you get rid of the dehydrated look, please try some drinks with electrolytes in them as well as plain water. You'll do better with a combination. If you're American, sports drinks like Gatorade have electrolytes, as do children's rehydration drinks like Pedialyte.

Beside drinking water, you could add moisture instantly to your skin by using some commercial hydrating/ moisturizing mask.

There are many good ones, but I love these:
