A lie is a lie, but two wrongs don't make a right. An affair DIRECTLY hurts the other person. Drugs directly hurt the user and INDIRECTLY hurt the other person.

It's apples and oranges. However, if she stood by you - she may be a good woman a deserve another chance - consider counseling before divorce.

No its not the same. She wants you to feel as guilty as she does and try to make what she did seem not as bad. An affair is much worse than lying about drugs.

A lie is a lie, no matter how you look at it, Both wrong so get over it, and get on with your life, Don't sweat the little stuff you will have much more to argue about down the road, If you love each other, Then go for it. If you can't get past this, Then go your separate ways, Good Luck

a lie is a lie
but one will end up messing up your body and maybe even killing you ( drugs ) and the other..messing around with some one else.....whoops....can these days do the same darn thing...
give you herpes, aids and so much more..so I guess these days it is the same thing
but hey at least the person who took drugs can stop for the rest of their lives, and the person who cheated will always be a cheater and maybe carry the disease for many many years and give it many other people and not even know they are sick!

these days it is the same thing

No, it's not the same thing. Lying about drug use is a betrayal of trust... but it doesn't violate a fundamental commitment to the relationship.

Well, you certainly shouldn't throw stones from glass houses.

Yes, I do think it is similar. A lie is a lie, and you are basically having an affair with drugs.

Seek counseling, support group, etc.

They are both lies but it is not the same. Having an affair is a terrible thing.

No its not the same thing.

One wrong does not mean that the other person gets to make their own wrong to make it even. Marriage doesn't work that way.

You need to talk, you two need counseling, or your marriage is going to fail. Frankly, its not looking good.

Lying is lying. You betrayed her, and she betrayed you. Trust is out the window.
