It's easy to say think confidentally and you will be. I grew up in a very strict home with shy parents who did not allow me much of a social life. I'm also a shy person with very low self-esteem. I've been worried and stressing about alot of little things recently and I think I'm at my breaking point! I've asked a few folks who recommend I speak with someone or a group, but where in my city would I go? Also any other ideas I would appreciate alot! Thanks!

One word Xanax!! I dont think that you necessarily need counseling, maybe small group functions would help you. I used to be the same way, I was soo shy that I didnt have any friends. Finally I hooked myself up with these incredibly outgoing girls and they brought me out of my shell. ( the only reason I said xanax is because it is a anti anxiety pill, helps calm the nerves)
