I am traveling for a week and am flexible with the dates as the prices will be the same. Is there a best day for lower amounts of traffic & congestion?

Cape Cod to Manchester is too far.

Generally, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the middle of the day are the lightest times for airports, including Logan. It's generally much easier to check in and go through security on those days. Saturdays also tend to be light, but Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays can be really hectic.

I'm with Bruce L. Fly in to Manchester-Boston Regional [airport] for the reasons he cites unless the reason you wish to fly into Logan is that you intend to use the Boston public transit system and do not want to rent a car. in that case schedule to leave Boston early week midday or after 8 at night to avoid congestion as much as possible.

Try Tues or Thurs.

There is now a free bus that goes from the Boston area to Manchester airport to encourage fliers to use Manchester. It stops at a T station near Boston and then at the regional travel site in Woburn and then it is nonstop to Manchester.

Airports usually at their quietest on a Saturday and Sunday mornings, I have added a link for passenger reviews of airports around the world, including Logan Airport.

Fly in to Manchster, NH if you can. It is only an hour North of Boston and no hassles.

The airport is fairly new and a breeze to get in and out of. I have flown out of Boston on business. But prefer Manchester if possible.

Parking is cheaper too!

I find the best day to go to the airport is the same day that your airplane is taking off.

I mean, I like looking round the Tie Rack, but a couple of hours is more than enough.
