you can play co op on split screen or over the Internet or with system link. you can also play multiplayer over the Internet, system link, or just split screen.And of corse single player which is the exact same thing as co op but instead of a friend you get a AI as your teammate.

You can play it multiplayer with on the system, on system link, and online.

I don't think so. It looks like a single player game just check out xbox.com it will tell you
