He would say, "thanks, that is very nice, but I am gay....what are we supposed to do about that? " It is very easy to develope feelings for Gay men, they are open, funny, and easy to approach. Keep your feelings in check, for you know from the start that nothing can come of it other than friendship..which is nice, but not a romantic relationship, if that is what you are looking for. Gay men cannot suddenly become straight, anymore than a straight man can become gay. Leave it at that. Good luck

I think it is important to be open and honest with your feelings. So no one can know how any one individual is going to react to a given situation. The point is if you are close then it is important to bring it out into the open and then you can move on with things.

If I was in that situation and I was close with the girl I would tell her that I loved her very much, but as a friend and that is all it could ever be. I wouldn't be uncomfortable around her but don't know how comfortable she would be after that.

If it were me, I'd kind jsut be like "Ok. You DO know I'm not exactly available to you, right?" And from there, I honestly would not know how to react: I'm the kind of person who would literally say "I don't really know what I'm supposed to say to that."

He would be flattered. He still wouldn't jump your bones. However, you might get a peck on the cheek or a hug.

He'd probably be uncomfortable. He most likely has opened up to you as a friend on the understanding there is no possibility of a sexual relationship. And PLEASE don't think you can convert him - you can't.

I'd let her down easy, but make it emphatic that it wouldn't work.
