Sometimes, you can also find basically the same thing at other stores. I got an iPOD charger (for the wall) that also came with a USB cord to hook into my computer. It was about thirty dollars. So yes, if you buy from Apple the accesories are more expensive than if you buy from something like Costco, Sams, Target, Walmart, or anything that isn't an Apple product.

Some iPod accessories are expensive, but most aren't too expensive. I think the iPod docking station is the most expensive. ($199.99 at Target)

I bought a dock for around $60. It hooks into my reciever. Other stuff can be bought from after market companies.

depends if you need/want them or not.. if you dont.. then yes.. if you do then no..
my 2nd Gen Nano dock costs $29.. even though i dont need it.. i want it.. so im cool with the price.. but the ipod hifi is a different story.. since i dont need it even though its cool.. its expensive..
